Get to Know Dr. Parisa Akhavan DDS (general practitioner; practice limited to children)
Dr. Parisa Akhavan graduated as a children's dentist specialist from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1998. In addition, Dr. Parisa completed an academic fellowship in hospital dentistry at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, where she was actively involved in dental treatment for young children and children with special needs.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Parisa has practiced children's dentistry for over 20 years. During this time, she has provided comprehensive dental care for her patients from a very young age through adolescence. Dr. Parisa was an assistant professor, working with many graduate and post-graduate university students.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Parisa successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and obtained her Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario license to practice dentistry in Ontario. Dr. Parisa enthusiastically cares for her patients here at SmileTown and has dedicated her career to the treatment of children.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Parisa is a proud member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, swimming, and traveling.
